Company HistorySince its inception in 1955, Julian LeCraw & Company has built a reputation based on strategic investment, operational excellence and integrity. These characteristics, combined with an entrepreneurial spirit, have enabled our company, our investors and our clients to enjoy notable success.
For the first 20 years, the company primarily developed apartments and office buildings on the north side of Atlanta. This included almost 5,000 units of apartment construction as well as over a dozen different office/industrial buildings.
In the early 1980’s, Julian LeCraw, Jr. joined the company and started a resurgence of new development for the company which included hotels, Class A office buildings, retail and apartments.
Julian LeCraw, Jr. acquired the company when Julian LeCraw, Sr. retired in 1990. His concept since then has been to expand the company significantly to orchestrate a multi-faceted real estate group of highly talented individuals.
The company has brought in outside equity partners to team with its own equity to aquire opportunistic real estate.
Since 1990, the company has seen dramatic growth and currently has just under 300 dedicated and experienced associates. The partners of Julian LeCraw & Company are Julian LeCraw, Jr., Michael Tompkins and Lee Walker who have worked together as a team since the early 1990’s. Steve Broome later joined the team as the Managing Partner in Florida. The future of Julian LeCraw & Company will see continued growth as new acquisitions and development opportunities are analyzed and put into place. The current portfolio of owned and/or managed property exceeds $750 million.
